Qantas tops rivals for on-time flights
By admin

Qantas has achieved the best on-time performance figures for November, followed by Virgin Australia, Tigerair and Jetstar.

Almost 87% of Qantas flights left on time, with 85.3% arriving on schedule while Virgin Australia reported 80.7% on-time departures and 77.2% on-time arrivals.

Low cost carriers Tigerair rated 76.4% and 71.2% while Jetstar was the worst performing domestic carrier with 70.9% of flights departing as scheduled and 70.7% arriving on time.

Data collected by the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics revealed that this month's overall performance was below the long term average.

Regional Express (Rex) led the regional carriers with the highest on-time performance, followed closely by Virgin Australia Regional Airlines.

The most delayed routes for last month were Ballina-Sydney for departures and Port Macquarie-Sydney for arrivals.
