Air New Zealand's same sex marriage gimmick
By admin

Air New Zealand's latest headline grabber sees the carrier scouring the nation for a same sex couple who wish to be wed at 30,000 feet in the presence of a US TV star.

Modern Family actor and prominent gay marriage campaigner Jesse Tyler Ferguson will be on hand for the ceremony which will take place on an Air New Zealand flight from Queenstown to Auckland. Gay marriage becomes legal in New Zealand on August 19.

"We expect this marriage at 30,000 feet to attract significant global media interest," gushed Air New Zealand's head of global brand development Jodi Williams. "Naturally the couple's family and friends will want to be on hand for the special occasion so we have plenty of seats set aside for them.

After the couple have walked down the aisle in the sky, Air New Zealand plan to stump up for a honeymoon in Palm Springs, California. Entries close on July 26, so head to www.flyingsocialnetwork.com if you're in the hunt for airborne nuptials.
