Newcomer to the Australian distribution landscape Mystifly is confident it will sign up 200 local customers to its MyFareBox consolidation platform within the next six months.

The India-based company currently launched in 2008 and now offers bookable & ticketable content from more than 900 airlines across 70 countries.

It operates in more than 55 countries with India and the US among its biggest markets, assistant vice president sales Sayan Guha told Travel Today.

“This year, we are really focusing on Australia,” he said. “We understand that the Australian market has got a lot of potential.”

Mystifly hopes to establish a local office here by the end of the year, with both Sydney and Melbourne in the running, Guha revealed.

To date, the company has signed up around 10 Australian companies with it targeting agencies of all sizes.

Guha confirmed it is in talks with a number of the major chains, with home-based networks of particular interest.

“The reason we are looking at home-based firms is because they have a lot of small agents under them that we’d like to get on board,” Guha said.

“Our unique selling point lies in the fact that if a travel agent wants to go online, we can provide them with the necessary xml which they can integrate into their own website.”

In order to grow its Australian customer base, it is offering a free trial of its basic product for Australian agents.
