By admin

The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) held its annual Brisbane meeting at riverside restaurant Aria with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents' general manager accreditation, Gary O'Riordan, giving the keynote address.

O'Riordan outlined plans for the new travel accreditation scheme that comes into effect on July 1, with industry consultation on the scheme still underway.

“CATO has been working closely with AFTA to input to the new accreditation scheme and our members were pleased to have the opportunity yesterday to ask questions,” CATO general manager Peter Baily said.

“CATO is very supportive of the new scheme and our members yesterday were encouraged by Gary O’Riordan’s update.”

The meeting also saw the induction of new CATO member Touch of Spirit Tours, which specialises in selling India.
