AAT Kings has underlined plans to grow its market share as it revealed an $8.5 million investment in 17 new luxury coaches.

The new Scania coaches, to hit the road in eight weeks time, will take the operator's overall fleet size to 81 vehicles.

Anthony Hayes, the firm's global managing director, said the new additions will increase the level of comfort for its customers while enabling it to target new growth.

"This investment not only demonstrates to both the inbound and domestic markets our ongoing commitment to tourism in Australia, it aligns with our strategic growth plans as we look to increase our market share and capitalise on our dominance as a respected leader in guided tours," he said.
