137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts expansion in Thailand

137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts has announced expansion plans in Thailand as it launches a new luxury boutique brand.

Following the success of its 30-suite 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai, the Wongphanlert family have created a new luxury brand, 137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts, as they continue to expand across Thailand.

137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts newest edition will be the 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok, scheduled to open in early 2017.

The property will be located on Sukhumvit Soi 39 — close to the upscale and fashionable shopping district of Emquartier/Emporium.

137 pillar pic 1137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok will showcase 34 exquisitely appointed suites and 179 private residences.  The architects for the property are Palmer and Turner from Bangkok, with interiors by P49 Design and landscape by Wabi Sabi Studio.

137 Pillars Suites and Residences will feature the 137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts signature ‘by invitation only’ Louis Leonowens Club, the Jack Bain’s Bar and Cigar Divan.

Executive chef and culinary artist, Peter Marx, will create Thai favourites with a molecular twist as well Western delicacies at the hotel’s exquisite Nimitr speciality restaurant.

The Bangkok Trading Post restaurant on Soi Sukhumvit 39 will be an all-day dining bistro and deli appealing to residents and guests, and will serve western and Asian favourites.

Jack Bain’s Bar and Cigar Divan will be situated on the 28th floor above Nimitr restaurant on the 27th floor, with a beautiful 6-metre ceiling and panoramic views.

Other plush facilities include a spa and wellness centre, with a separate yoga and meditation sala offering activities including aerial flow yoga, tai chi, reiki and dance.

A third property, 137 Pillars Estate Phuket, is scheduled to open early 2019 on the North Peninsula of Kata Beach, with 16 sunset-facing pool villas and 51 pool suites.
