Fiji Airways confirms travel disruptions from Tropical Cyclone Mal

    Fiji Airways continues to monitor Tropical Cyclone Mal (TC Mal) as it approaches the islands of Fiji.

    Due to adverse weather caused by TC Mal, there are a number of consequent delays and cancellations to Fiji Airways flights on Wednesday 15th November 2023.

    The following flights on Wednesday 15th November between Australia and Fiji have been delayed:

    • FJ911 – Nadi to Sydney, updated estimated departure – 03.00pm (local time)
    • FJ910 – Sydney to Nadi, updated estimated departure – 08.00pm (local time)
    • FJ935 – Nadi to Melbourne, updated estimated departure – 01.30pm (local time)
    • FJ934 – Melbourne to Nadi, updated estimated departure – 07.15pm (local time)
    • FJ921 – Nadi to Brisbane, updated estimated departure – 01.15pm (local time)
    • FJ920 – Brisbane to Nadi, updated estimated departure – 04.20pm (local time)

    Commenting on the disruptions, a Fiji Airways spokesperson explained “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and want to assure our valued guests that their safety and well-being is our top priority.”

    Fiji Airways is advising passengers travelling with the airline on 13th, 14th or 15th of November that have been affected by the disruptions, to check for email communication from the airline for updates on their booking.
