Qantas has gotten in touch with Frequent Flyers with details of a new European Summer deal that will make reward seats made available on every Qantas flight to London and Rome from June-August 2024.

These new seats are in addition to the 5 million reward seats currently available across Qantas, Jetstar and its other 45 partner airlines including Emirates, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, LATAM and Japan Airlines.

As part of the regular release of reward seats, more than 35,000 of these seats (business and economy) have also been made available today across the Qantas international network.

Alongside this, Qantas has announced a 50 per cent discount on points required for other premium seats.

Aussies can fly directly to Rome via Qantas (Qantas Group)

For members wanting to travel in premium cabins to international destinations, or want more flexibility with timing, a five-day Points Plus Pay sale has also been launched.

The five day sale will halve the number of points required for any first, business or premium economy seat (with exception of reward seats) on any international Qantas marketed flight (with a QF flight number) that can be booked on the Qantas website.

The sale runs from until Friday 27 October 2023 and is available when using Points Plus Pay.

The Frequent Flyer offer is the first part of $80 million of funding earmarked in September for responding to customer feedback and giving more value.

The move comes after the recently announced resignation of Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth – a previous front runner for the Group CEO position.

Wirth has promised more benefits for frequent flyers before departing the airline in February.

As previously announced, Qantas and Jetstar’s international capacity will increase by 12 percentage points from late October onwards – an increase of almost 50 additional flights per week. This includes Qantas resuming its Sydney-Shanghai services and starting two new routes, Brisbane-Wellington and Brisbane-Honiara, as well as a new Jetstar service from Brisbane to Tokyo.
