Coinciding with Japan’s big reopening, Wendy Wu Tours is hosting a dedicated live online event for agents.

Taking place today at 4pm AEST, the event will include the latest updates on travelling in Japan, information on the tour operator’s exclusive July departure and a special Q&A session with founder Wendy, joining LIVE from Sydney.

Wendy Wu Tours, which hosts the largest number of tour groups to Japan from the UK, Australia, and NZ, has been in close consultation with the Japanese Government and its tourism board over the past 18 months and was given the green light to take its first official group tour to Japan on 26 July 2022, making it one of the first travel companies allowed back into the country.

The new July departure for Wu’s flagship 12-day ‘Jewels of Japan’, departs on 26 July 2022 and with demand at an all-time high, it’s likely this tour will sell out in record time.

According to Wu, the tour operator added the extra date in July the meet the high travel demand.

“Our agents and customers have been calling out for a tour date, and an opportunity to travel to Japan, as soon as possible, and hence we are so excited to fulfil this with this July tour,” she said.

“Our customers will be among the first to visit Japan and to experience the magic of the new Japan at its best. With less crowds in July, it is the perfect time to travel and experience this spectacular country.

“Having not had any tour groups for so long, the warmth and hospitality that our customers will receive this July will be second to none. The tour is fully inclusive plus we will take care of everything including visas. It really is a monumental tour and an opportunity to be the first travellers back in Japan, after nearly three years.”

Japan finally opened to Australian tourist groups on Friday 10 June, ending a ban that was introduced nearly three years ago, as part of the country’s virus control program.

To meet the exceptional demand, Wendy Wu Tours has also added additional capacity for tours throughout autumn 2022 and for March and April 2023, with tours selling out as quick as they go on sale.
