Join VisitBritain’s virtual annual flagship travel trade event, ExploreGB
VisitBritain’s annual trade event ExploreGB is going virtual this year, taking place from 22 to 24 March 2022.
The event invites international buyers and media to connect online with travel trade suppliers from across the UK to do business, boost bookings, and find out more about product/destination news for the year ahead.
Celebrity Cruises launches new Agent Rewards program with double points offer
Using Celebrity Cruises’ new agent loyalty program, Celebrity Rewards, agents can earn points on all deposited bookings, redeemable for a reloadable Celebrity Rewards Mastercard, or e-gift cards from retailers, including Netflix, Myer and Ticketmaster.
Agents can increase their earnings by booking higher categories, regardless of the length of the cruise or sailing date, with the highest number of points earned by booking The Retreat and Galapagos sailings.
To celebrate the launch of Celebrity Rewards, during the month of March, the cruise line is offering agents the chance to earn double the points on all sailings up to 30 April 2023.
To be eligible for Celebrity Rewards, agents must first graduate from Celebrity Cruises’ training program, Celebrity Learning.
Online Travel Training to host new West Midlands course with British prize packs up for grabs
VisitBritain’s new course invites trade to learn about the old, new, industrial, and creative world that awaits travellers in the West Midlands.
Agents can swot up as the region prepares to host the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games later this year and be in the running to win a GREAT prize pack filled with the best of British treats by completing the course HERE by 15 March 2022.
PONANT to host live online event: Explore to Inspire – What’s New in 2023?
PONANT is set to host a two-part live online event on Thursday, 17 March 2022 to highlight their range of new luxury expedition itineraries for 2023.
The event will be hosted by PONANT’s national business manager Craig Farrell, with guest speakers Mick Fogg, PONANT’s director of expeditions and destination development, and Ryo Ijichi, a PONANT expedition guide and leader.
Participants of the event will also have the chance to win a luxury expedition for two in Indonesia onboard Le Laperouse departing 31 March 2023.
The event will be held in two parts to cover both tropical and polar expeditions, held at 3pm AEDT and 5pm AEDT respectively.

JNTO invites Aussie agents to learn about Japanese travel and score sweet treats
Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has partnered with Japanese sweets company Sakura.co to reward agents for taking part in its training with over $6,500 of prizes on offer.
Agents who sign up and complete any level of the training program before 16 March will go in the running to win one of three annual subscriptions to the Sakura.co monthly Japanese flavours service or one of 60 individual boxes.
The JNTO E-learning platform has been designed to equip local agents with all the insight and knowledge they need to sell every kind of Japan holiday – and in particular, to introduce the lesser-known aspects and regions of the destination to Australian travellers.
Covering areas including destination basics such as where to go and where to stay, the three-tier program also explores different regions of Japan, art and tradition, nature and outdoors, cuisine, and relaxation – amongst myriad other aspects of this fascinating destination.
