Renaissance Tours releases its biggest Spring collection yet

Renaissance Tours has officially declared that your clients’ springtime jaunts are no longer cancelled, with the release of a whopping range of new domestic tours.

All up, the specialist tour group has launched 70 curated tours departing from October through to Christmas, ranging from one-day tours around Sydney to short two- to five-day breaks within NSW, and longer tours of up to 10 days around Australia including, for the first time, Norfolk Island.

According to Evan Petrelis, Renaissance Tours’ managing director, this year’s collection covers a wide range of interest topics, including gardens, art, architecture, music, and food and wine.

“Over the next few months, our tours will offer travellers exclusive access to people and places all around Australia in the company of specialist tour leaders who enthuse, educate and entertain through their passion for their areas of expertise,” he said.

The tour company will also produce its very own classical music festival, Baroque by the Beach, in Byron Bay in late November. The festival will be hosted by popular ABC Classic presenter Damien Beaumont.

In keeping with the springtime theme, the new collection will feature tours of Australian gardens, both public and private in South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and Victoria. These trips will be led by horticulturalists and garden writers.

Art and architecture enthusiasts will also be covered by the collections including tours focused on the lives of Australian artists like Arthur Boyd, John Glover and Thomas Clark.

Foodies have not been forgotten, with food and wine tours on offer including one led by “The Wine Man”, Peter Bourne, to his hometown of Orange in the NSW Central West.

In an ambitious move, Renaissance Tours will also host a range of one-day tours around Sydney, including two Art Deco-themed day tours led by designer, artist, curator and TV and radio presenter Claudia Chan Shaw.

Greater Sydney’s current state of lockdown is hoped to at least be eased by October, but considering the number of times it has already been extended, it’s a hard one to call.

As for the rest of NSW, the lockdown has been extended until midnight on 10 September.
