Australia & New Zealand Travel Company is actively assuring agents with a big green light to book travel with confidence.

The Melbourne-based wholesaler is waiving the fee for date changes on all of its products for reservations made in the next seven months until 30 November 2022 if the original booking is impacted by coronavirus-related border closures.

Russ Masterton, manager of Australia & New Zealand Travel Company, said: “We simply can’t go on this way. We need to give all our agents and their customers the confidence to book.

“Ever since the Melbourne lockdown was announced, our phones have been ringing hot with queries about pending tour departures.

“The satisfaction and relief is huge when people know they can rebook free of charge, and it’s contributed greatly to our increased sales in the past quarter.”

Another issue the wholesaler has addressed is the cost of holidays in Australia, having reserved group space on popular departures of The Ghan and Indian Pacific.

It’s also offering escorted tours in destinations such as Cairns and far North Queensland from $899 per person, and Alice Springs and Uluru from $1,399 per person.

“With seven months left in 2021, there is still time to grab a bargain across all levels of the budget spectrum,” Masterson said.

“We want to help our agents remain positive and confident that they can still book and travel while we wait for people to be fully vaccinated.”
