New executive officer appointed for Cultural Attractions of Australia

Cultural Attractions of Australia has announced the appointment of Annabel Sullivan as its new executive officer.

Sullivan takes the reins at Cultural Attractions of Australia following a successful formative phase since the collective of iconic cultural attractions launched in 2019.

She brings 30 years’ sales, marketing and senior management experience within the tourism and business events industry to the role.

Sullivan began her career with Tourism & Events Queensland and has since worked for Qantas Australian Resorts, P&O Australian Resorts, Voyages Hotels & Resorts and Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau.

She has also worked as a sessional lecturer for The University of Queensland’s tourism department, and taken on voluntary roles at the university, as well as the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux and the Australian Association Project.

Jennifer Ganske, chair of Cultural Attractions of Australia, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Annabel as our new executive officer.

“Annabel brings broad industry experience, relevant national and international networks, and longstanding engagement with the travel trade, as well as a proven track record in strategic planning, stakeholder management and collaborative leadership that will ensure our organisation continues to thrive.

“The board of Cultural Attractions of Australia and I look forward to working with Annabel to continue to deliver for our members and grow our organisation into the future.”

Ganske also thanked outgoing executive officer Jane Ross for her leadership and commitment over the past two-and-a-half years.

“Jane steered Cultural Attractions of Australia to launch in 2019 and has since grown our membership, profile, relationships and product offering across the travel trade and industry, internationally and domestically,” she said.

“Jane leaves a strong legacy, and we wish her all the very best as she continues to build on her career-long contribution to the arts and cultural tourism sector.”
