Abercrombie & Kent unveils remote Flinders Island adventure

Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) is bringing remote and unusual parts of Australia into the spotlight with the launch of its new active adventure of Flinders Island.

Off the back of A&K’s Aussie Air Safari launch, the trip is the luxury travel company’s latest domestic offering.

Situated in the Bass Strait, Flinders Island is one of Australia’s lesser-known outposts and while remote, it is still accessible.

The landscapes in this perfect little slice of Tasmania are wild and mesmerising, from breathtaking coastal trails and pristine beaches to high rocky peaks and boulder-strewn slopes.

A&K’s five-day escape reveals the important history of the island and its picturesque terrain, with expert local guides accompanying guests on a mountain biking adventure in the Mount Strzelecki National Park and great walks to Castle Rock and Mount Killiecrankie.

Accommodation is at Flinders Island Gourmet Retreat at Cooma House, where friendly local hospitality and daily cooking demonstrations are part of the experience.
