Webjet introduces Afterpay option for Aussie customers

Online travel giant Webjet has announced the launch of Afterpay as a new payment method now available to its Australian customers.

Joining other travel companies such as Qantas in offering Afterpay, Webjet claims to be one of the few OTAs in Australia to provide its customers with the option of using an interest-free instalment payment method.

Afterpay is the latest addition to the range of payment types already available on Webjet.com.au, including Visa Checkout, American Express Membership Rewards, PayPal, and major credit and debit cards.

Webjet managing director John Guscic said: “The last few months have been unprecedented for the travel industry and Webjet customers, and we are committed to making the process of booking travel even easier, when the time is right.

“Using Afterpay on Webjet is as simple as selecting it as the payment method of choice at checkout, and is available for all flight, hotel or package bookings that total less than $2,000.”

Afterpay CEO and co-founder Anthony Eisen said: “We are delighted to partner with Webjet to offer Australians access to millions of flight and package deals at a competitive rate.

“By splitting the transaction total into four, fortnightly and interest-free instalments, customers have a better ability to manage their budget, which is extremely important for families at this time.”
