Intrepid launches social media campaign to highlight the importance of travel

Intrepid is encouraging travellers to partake in a new social media campaign that will help remind the world why travel is so important.

The adventure travel company has released an inspiring video with a powerful message: “Today we must be apart, so that someday soon we can all #betogether.”

The video is part of a new campaign encouraging travellers to write a letter to someone who made their travel experience special, whether it be “the porter who guided your every step on the Inca Trail, the homestay host who made you feel right at home, the stranger turned roommate turned lifelong friend, the travel agent who made it magically all work.”

“For 31 years, we built a business on bringing people together and the hardest thing to do is telling people to stay home,” the company said in the video.

“We know today is not the time to be fearless, but to be cautious; to resist the urge to be curious and instead be kind and compassionate.

“Today, we must look out for each other for perfect strangers that someday will become friends. Today, we must be apart so that someday soon we can all be together.”

Intrepid said it will share these letters on its social media and blog in the coming months because “it’s times like these we must lift each other up and spread some light”.

You or your clients can send in your letters HERE.
