WIN THE GIN: Cruise & Maritime Voyages helps keep agents’ spirits up

WIN THE GIN: Cruise & Maritime Voyages helps keep agents’ spirits up

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is encouraging agents to keep their gin up (see what we did there?) with its ‘Win the Gin’ incentive.

In an effort to inspire some fun amidst a challenging time for the travel industry, CMV is awarding gin lovers some Australian craft gins from Giniversity and Adelaide Gin over the next month.

“In true British fashion, at CMV we have been stockpiling gin (rather than toilet paper), after the success of our recent Boutique Gin and Culinary cruise on Vasco da Gama,” said Darren Chigwidden, national sales manager for CMV across Australia and New Zealand.

“To help our agent community keep their ‘spirits’ up at the moment, we are excited to giveaway some beautiful local gins to our agents to remind them that we are here to support them.”

The giveaway kicked off on Wednesday, and agents should head to CMV’s agent Facebook group ‘Agent Insiders’ to enter.

CMV will pose a cruising question in the group each Wednesday at 1pm (Adelaide time), asking agents to answer in 25 words or less or submit a short 15-second video to be in the running, and the cruise line’s favourite answers each week will win the gin.

Each Friday at 1pm (Adelaide time), the winners will be announced, and the gins will be shipped for the agents to enjoy. The competition will run for four weeks and questions will also be distributed to agents registered with CMV via email.

Both gins on offer, Giniversity and Adelaide Gin, are traditional London dry styles, brought to life with native Australian botanicals, providing a fitting connection with the traditional British style of cruising that CMV offers cruisers in Australia.

The gins were featured on board Vasco da Gama on the seven-night Boutique Gin and Culinary Cruise earlier this year, which sailed from Adelaide to Fremantle and showcased the very best local produce from South Australia and Western Australia.

With the travel industry struggling in times of uncertainty, this agent ‘gincentive’ is intended to encourage the industry to stay positive and keep their ‘gins up’ throughout challenging times.

Agents are encouraged to reach out to their local CMV sales team member with any questions.
