Adam Armstrong to leave Silversea after less than two years at its helm

Silversea Cruises has confirmed that Adam Armstrong, managing director Australia and New Zealand, will be leaving the cruise line later this year.

The cruise line said in a statement that Armstrong was leaving to pursue another opportunity outside of the cruise industry.

Roberto Martinoli, CEO of Silversea Cruises said the exact date of his departure is not yet known, but it would be business as usual in the cruise line’s Australia office for the time being.

“We would like to thank Adam for his important contribution to the success of Silversea in Australia & New Zealand and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours,” Martinoli said.

Armstrong said it had been a great pleasure to lead Silversea in the region.

“Silversea is a very special brand and it has been a pleasure to work with such a professional and dedicated team in our Sydney office, whom I look forward to working with until my departure later this year,” he said.

Armstrong took the reins as Silversea’s regional head in August 2018 after working as the regional managing director for Royal Caribbean cruises for two years, with almost 10 years of experience at the company under his belt.

Silversea was acquired by Royal Caribbean in June 2018.
