Wholesaler wrap: Chimu Adventures milestone, AAT Kings deals extended + more!
It’s Monday, and Travel Weekly has just the thing to help you sober up from the NTIAs (and no, it’s not a Bloody Mary): a wholesaler wrap!
Chimu Adventures to celebrate 15th birthday
Latin America and polar specialists Chimu Adventures will celebrate its 15th birthday on 25 July 2019.
In recognition, co-founders Greg Carter and Chad Carey (featured image) have reflected on the inspiration behind the business and the key lessons learnt in 15 years.
In 15 years, the business has fulfilled its mission to have full control over the flexibility, quality and value of its Latin America and polar adventures, while also giving back. It has grown into an $40 million enterprise, employing over 70 staff in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada, Germany and on the ground in Latin America. The next year will see Chimu commence its own Antarctic operations aboard the Ocean Endeavour.
Chimu has also helped raise close to a million dollars in funds towards purpose related activities in the past 15 years, through microfinancing projects and donations, among others.
