Delta unveils new business class suites on Sydney to LA flights

Are you blessed enough frequent business class while us plebs origami our legs into impossible shapes back in economy?

Your flights are about to get a lot more private. That is, if you fly with Delta Air Lines.

Delta has just debuted the Crystal Cabin – the first business class suite with a door flying between Australia and the US, with the launch of its upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft on the line’s daily Sydney to Los Angeles flight.

The upgrade is set to bring a touch of luxury, comfort and choice to Aussie skies, giving flyers the choice to customise their onboard experiences.

The aircraft not only features the Crystal Cabin, it’s also decked out with Delta Premium Select, the airline’s new premium economy product featuring greater recline, a foot and leg rest and elevated onboard service.

There’s also something for the economy passenger, with nine-abreast seating, rather than the industry-standard ten-abreast seating, with 47 cm wide Main Cabin seats, the widest Main Cabin seats of Delta’s international fleet.

“Ten years since the launch of our service to Los Angeles, we’re upgrading the customer experience in a big way with our Boeing 777 aircraft and the Australia-U.S. debut of the award-winning Delta One suite,” Scott Santoro, Delta’s Vice President – Los Angeles and West Sales, said.

“Along with the suite, we’ve invested throughout the aircraft with the addition of Delta Premium Select and our commitment to offer nine-abreast seating in Main Cabin, so our customers will have a great experience no matter which product they choose.”

The Boeing 777 upgrade is the latest enhancement on the Sydney-LAX route as part of Delta’s multibillion-dollar investment in the overall customer experience.
