Flight Centre’s Top Destinations to Visit for 2019 reveal cold is no longer hot

Ice, icebergs, rocks and icy-rocks. Yes, cold weather was certainly in, last year. But not anymore.

Based on booking data and customer enquiries from 2018, Flight Centre’s travel picks put some of the warmest countries in the world as the best to visit, this year.

With the release of Flight Centre’s yearly ‘Top Destinations to Visit’, it has been announced the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and its capital are the hottest destinations in the world for travel.

Here’s Flight Centre’s top 10:

  1. UAE
  2. Turkey
  3. Egypt
  4. Maldives
  5. Russia
  6. Cook Islands
  7. Chile
  8. South Korea
  9. Sri Lanka; and
  10. Japan

If you weren’t already sold on a trip to the Arabian Gulf nation, Etihad Airways is offering deals for its two-for-one stopover.

Prices range from $125 for two people, for two nights including breakfast, to $306 for two people for two nights, which includes breakfast at the Ritz Carlton, or $360 for two people for two nights including breakfast at the St Regis Abu Dhabi.
