Mieke De Schepper to lead the Online Travel segment at Amadeus
De Schepper comes from Expedia Group and brings more than 17 years of experience in managing B2C and B2B businesses
With over 14 years of experience working in Asia Pacific, De Schepper will assume Global leadership of the Amadeus Online Travel Segment, and also the regional leadership for Asia Pacific.
RwandAir appointed the Airline Rep Services as its GSA in Australia/New Zealand
The Airline Rep Services a General Sales Agent (GSA) company division of CVFR Travel Group has been appointed to represent RwandAir for the region of Australia/New Zealand.
A Call Centre in Australia has been set up to service the needs of the travel agents and customers for the region.
The Airline Rep Services Managing Director Roheena Gidwani commented that “It is an amazing opportunity to partner with RwandAir and its growth story for the ANZ region.
Rwanda is one of the safest countries in the world. From the capital city, Kigali, the airline serves some of the big cities in the world such as Mumbai, Dubai, Brussels, London and Johannesburg”.

Cruise & Maritime Voyages Welcomes Darren Chigwidden Aboard
Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Darren Chigwidden as National Sales Manager (AU & NZ).
Darren will commence with CMV on Tuesday, 29 January 2019 and will be based out of Adelaide. As National Sales Manager, he will provide ongoing support for agent partners in Australia and New Zealand to help develop and grow their business, as well as working closely with wholesalers and national travel agents.
He joins CMV during an exciting period of growth for the company, as it celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
Luxperience appoints PEPR Agency for 2019
Luxperience, Australia’s dedicated luxury travel business exchange event, has appointed PEPR Agency as its PR partner for 2019.
As part of the appointment, PEPR will be responsible for managing Luxperience’s media relations and communication campaigns. PEPR will be the contact for all domestic and international media in the lead up to the event, and will manage the Luxperience press office.
Explore appoints new global head of sales and consumer service
Explore Worldwide is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Ittensohn to the role of Global Head of Sales and Customer Service.
Ben already has considerable knowledge of Explore’s business and its core values having worked on a consultancy project for Explore since July 2018 where he was responsible for leading the GSA tender for Explore’s Australia and New Zealand representation and subsequent appointment of Adventure World Travel.
Ben joins the Explore team after more than a decade working at Topdeck Travel, where he was Regional Manager Asia Pacific. His prior roles included five years as Director of Sales Asia Pacific, Head of Sales Australia, New Zealand & South Africa, and National Sales and Marketing Manager.
