Greece and Med Travel Centre launch 2019 brochures with big fat Greek celebration

Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre launched its 2019 portfolio of brochures last night at a big fat and fabulous Greek party at Sydney’s Poolside Cafe.

There was Greek music, delicious Mediterranean food and special guests Australian-Greek TV personalities, Anastasia and Faye.

The new offerings include core Greek products plus a diverse range of other exciting destinations including Egypt, Croatia, Europe, Italy & Malta, Spain, Dubai, Jordan, Israel and Turkey.

Not to mention their newly launched Luxury Greece Collection.

At 140 pages, GMTC’s Greece 2019 brochure is the biggest yet.

“The company is proud of this new record, and the scope of the brochure is in line with Greece’s enduring popularity,” said GMTC Managing Director, Halina Kubica.

“2018 was the biggest year for travel to Greece, with Greece and Mediterranean Travel recording a 30 per cent increase in bookings compared to the previous year.”

Travel consultants booking with GMTC also have peace of mind that the operator has an Athens office providing 24 hours, 7 days a week support to their clients. Experienced locals manage the office, with no request being too big or too small.

The Greece 2019 brochure introduces several new exclusive tours tailored to small groups of up to 16 guests.

These include a flagship 13-day Greek Islands Escorted Tour starting from AU$3,166, a five-day Unique Classical Greek Tour, and seven-day Peloponnese Discovery Tour.

Also new for 2019 is the Undiscovered Island Explorer itinerary, featuring the lesser-known islands of Sifnos and Serifos, as well as additional itineraries that also include a stop at the island of Milos.

The 2019 Greece collection features a new range of experiences, including overnight stays in guesthouses and cooking with local women in the small villages.

It is capped off with an information-packed Frequently Asked Questions section to further support travel consultants in selling the destination.

Turning to Egypt, Kubica explained, “the destination has gained popularity in enquiries, leading to the launch of new exclusive small group tours with set departures.”

In 2019, GMTC offers an exclusive nine-day tour of the Footsteps of Tutankhamun; the flagship journey for small groups with prices starting from AU$3,486.

And, for travellers looking to explore the splendour of the Nile, there are brand new packages featuring Dahabiya cruises.

GMTC also saw a surge in travel to Croatia, Italy and Spain and has noticed increasing interest in the hot spots of Israel and Jordan.

“We’re the only Australian tour operator to have a dedicated brochure for Israel and Jordan, and look forward to working with travel consultants to learn and lure more Australians to such beautiful, historical, and culturally-rich countries,” said Kubica.

The company has also been working hard to update and introduce new sales tools to further support travel consultants, which includes a revamped, easy-to-navigate website; social media platforms with regular updates and tips; a YouTube channel and a monthly travel trade newsletter.

Additionally, the knowledgeable GMTC team is on hand to further support consultants with in-house training and presentations for any group enquiries.

“We fully appreciate how crucial the travel trade is to our business and are looking forward to rolling out innovative ways to showcase our 2019 portfolio of destinations in the coming weeks,” said Kubica.

Needless to say, GMTC’s 2019 collection is a fountain of knowledge for travellers and agents alike.
