Hawaiian Airlines presents ‘Winederland’ at the 2018 Hawaii Food & Wine Festival

Hawaiian Airlines will again have a significant presence at the annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival (HFWF) which, since its launch in 2011, has become the premier epicurean destination event in the Pacific.

The festival features more than 150 internationally renowned chefs, culinary personalities, winemakers and mixologists. HFWF is a program of not-for-profit organisation, the Hawaii Ag and Culinary Alliance.

Its mission is to attract national and international attention to the extraordinary culinary talent and the diversity of quality locally grown products to ensure Hawaii maintains its competitive edge as a world-class destination.

In the past eight years, HFWF has expanded from a three-day festival with 30 chefs in Waikiki to more than 20 events featuring 120 chefs spanning three islands, attracting more than 10,000 people. Since its launch, HFWF has donated more than $USD2 million to community organisations that support sustainability, culinary programs and agriculture.

This year Hawaiian Airlines is presenting a spectacular evening for wine lovers called “Winederland” on the rooftop of the Hawaii Convention Center on the evening of October 26, 2018.

The event will feature a “who’s who of the world’s greatest Cabernets, including Opus One, Silver Oak and Favia.”

Guests will be invited to sample 20 acclaimed wines poured by the winemakers themselves and will hear expert advice on pairing those wines with dishes created by 20 renowned chefs.

And if an array of superlative wines don’t get your taste buds dancing, handcrafted cocktails and a variety of beers will also be available.
