Passenger on “wrong flight” tries to jump ship

Ever had that moment of horror when you think you might be on the wrong flight?

Well, this guy did.

Only instead of doing what we normally do in that situation, which to have an internalised meltdown then beg the flight attendants for reassurance, he did exactly what you shouldn’t do.

We mean REALLY shouldn’t do.

25-year-old Troy Fattum began shouting that he was on the wrong planet after boarding a United Airlines flight from New Jersey to Tampa, Florida.

He then opened the emergency exit door and jumped down the inflatable slide.

Fattun’s wold stunt caused the flight to be delayed for hours and probably gave the flight attendants the fright of their lives.

Police were called to the terminal, following reports of a “disorderly subject” and Fattun was arrested on the tarmac for criminal mischief, trespassing and interference with transportation.

Police say despite claims he was on the wrong flight, his ticket showed the right plane.
