“Learn, take risks and chase opportunities”: Kernzer Director

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that we’ve been celebrating some seriously amazing Women in Travel lately, and today is no exception.

From across the industry we’ve seen phenomenal ladies come into our office, sit down for a chat, get a fab photo and mark incredible milestones for female talent in travel.

We’re all about celebrating, and next up on our list of superhero travel women is Anna Guillan, Australia and New Zealand Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Kernzer International.

Guillan is all about achieving equal pay for men and women, taking risks to pursue your dreams, and including all people in your endeavours.

“Learn, take risks and chase opportunities”

My career has been a positive experience, with many challenges and opportunities.

There’s incredible variety, constant change and an ability to make real differences.

Good careers allow you to give back to your colleagues, community and family in far reaching ways.

“I believe we will be the last generation with wage disparity”

We must demonstrate that there’s no difference in skills or value. Pay should be based on skill and aptitude – not gender.

As we become managers and have the authority to influence this, it is incumbent that we do away with any disparity that may exist.

“Opportunities should always be inclusive and open”

Supporting young female talent requires available opportunities to learn and develop.

There are so many incredible colleagues in this industry, both male and female, who don’t give up and continue to drive the future of travel in this country.

Travel Weekly is proud to present the Women in Travel Awards held on 27 November at Doltone House Darling Island. That’s NEXT MONDAY guys!
