Midweek Interview with Rail Plus’ Richard McKisack

Midweek Interview with Rail Plus’ Richard McKisack

This week, our Midweek Interview comes courtesy of Richard McKisack, the Business Development Manager, NSW/ACT/WA for Rail Plus.

The challenge for the industry is…

Staying unique and relevant to a consumer who is very savvy.

The things I like about my job…

Are the diversity of products I sell and potential of sales.

And the frustrations are…

Not many, the travel industry is forward thinking.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be…

In the sports industry.

Favourite airline?

Qantas.

My proudest moment was…

And still is my family (two kids and wife of 20 years).

The naughtiest thing I ever did was…

Too many to detail, but no regrets! ?

I try to relax by…

Time with family/friends, surfing or golf.

The last time I feared for my life was…

It’s been a long while thank goodness – skiing over a cliff in Aspen in Jan 1986! I only lost four teeth thankfully.

If I can, I always try to avoid…

Spending time with negative people.

I really wish I had…

Unlimited funds.

The best advice I’ve ever received was…

Hard to pinpoint, I keep learning from advice.

I don’t understand why people…

More relevant right now, I don’t understand terrorists.

My greatest weakness is…

Is this a job interview? Not sure.

And my greatest strength is…

Sounds like it! Humour I think.

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would…

Invest for my family and offer a small percentage for charity.

If I was prime minister I would…

Be better than Donald Trump.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be a…

Professional surfer or golfer!

I’ve always wanted to travel to…

The Northern Lights in Scandinavia (one day soon!)

My favourite holiday was…

The Greek Islands or Aspen, can I have both?
