Rejoice! It’s the new look Travel Weekly

After months of hard slog behind the scenes from our tireless staff, we are delighted to unveil the new look Travel Weekly magazine. You might notice something different? Yes, we’ve waved bye bye to the old school portrait style and embraced the world of landscape publishing.

But never fear. While we might look as fancy as any high end coffee table book you can name, we’re still delivering a monthly wallop of news, views and destination features for travel agents all over the country.

In our relaunch issue there’s plenty to get you inspired too. We speak to one of Australia’s most experienced travel insiders, Gil McLachlan, to get his thoughts on the state of the industry. And in our new feature – 5 Things I’ve Learned – we hear from another travel veteran in Gai Tyrrell, who provides some pearls of wisdom she’s picked up over the course of her stellar career.

We’ve tossed in a bumper photo essay too, as we check out the best looking travel agencies around. There’s no better way to admire these fine looking shopfronts than via landscape imagery we think you’ll agree.

For your monthly dose of armchair travel, sit back and be transported to exotic destinations from rejuvenated Medellin in Colombia to the glorious Greek isles. You can even vicariously paddle through Antarctic ice floes or feel the thrill of a South African walking safari. If that’s not enough, we’ve also road tested the world’s best airport lounges – all for your benefit, of course.

And as an added bonus, our new look issue comes with a bumper 36 page supplement on New Zealand. Put together in conjunction with Tourism New Zealand, this resource contains features on cycling, skiing, seasonal activities, plus guides to all of New Zealand’s nine regions as well as handy itineraries that make selling the destination a breeze. So tuck in to boost your knowledge of all things Aotearoa.

Yep, we’ve got travel covered from top to bottom and we hope you enjoy reading the new look Travel Weekly as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together.

Happy travels.
