Some 120 Helloworld for Business agency members and suppliers converged in Singapore over the weekend for the group’s 2016 Summit.

The group heard from speakers including financial journalist Ross Greenwood, Mick Colliss, Australia’s first Sudoku championship leader, Google Head of Industry Travel – Australia and New Zealand Dougal McKenzie – also a speaker at the upcoming Travel DAZE forum (last tickets left)!

The Summit agenda also featured workshops from Tony O’Connor, Founder and Director of independent travel management consultancy Butler Caroye Asia Pacific and Timothy O’Neil-Dunne, founder of VaultPAD Ventures, a global accelerator for travel startups.

Reho Travel took home the Innovation Award for the third year in a row in recognition of the ongoing work in influencing the entire travel supply chain to mitigate environmental impact and maximise social benefits.

“We’re constantly thinking about innovation and constantly trying to improve,” Managing Director Karsten Horne said.

“We would like to see an industry where customers are choosing an airline for its low fuel consumption, a hotel in the developing world for its labor practices, a tour company that involves the local community and books them all with a travel agency that has the awareness and experience to guide them toward suppliers that have a positive impact on the world.”

Qantas was the major Summit sponsor along with British Airways, Etihad, Travelport and United.
