LA counts down to agent mega famil
The Travel Corporation has unveiled its final itinerary secret ahead of its Great Escape mega famil next month.
100 agents will create their own LA story, taking in iconic landmarks and secret hotspots, and now Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board have joined the team for the final leg.
The Aussie travel agents will party with both LA Tourism and Creative Holidays on the finale three days of the jam-packed west coast itinerary, experiencing some of Los Angeles’ best offerings, including world-class hotels, shopping and some of L.A.’s most iconic attractions.
“Australia is our second biggest market from a leisure perspective, so we are excited to partner with The Travel Corporation to give these agents an insiders’ view of our city,” LA Tourism’s regional director of Australia & New Zealand Craig Gibbons said.
“To showcase L.A.’s unique cultures and experiences, we are bringing the agents to the city’s various neighbourhoods so that they can take home with them an unforgettable yet in-depth L.A. story.”
The visiting agents will be encouraged to share their experiences across social media, using @discoverLA and #LAStory and of course #TTCGreatEscape.
Highlights of the three-day itinerary:
>> A warm welcome kick off at the Hard Rock Café Hollywood at Universal CityWalk, right in the heart of iconic Hollywood.
>> Accommodations in L.A.’s entertainment district to experience a serious dose of glitz and glamour.
With Hollywood (Loews Hollywood Hotel and the Hollywood Hilton Garden Inn), and West Hollywood (The Grafton Hotel on Sunset and the Best Western Sunset Plaza) as their home bases, the group will have the chance to visit a range of famous attractions such as the TCL Chinese Theatre and Hollywood Walk of Fame that are right on their doorstep.
>> Optional activities include shopping at Citadel Outlets, exploring the city on a bike tour with Bikes & Hikes L.A. and visiting L.A.’s famous attractions and landmarks while riding on the top of a Starline Tours’ Hop-on Hop-off bus.
>> Self-discovery – The agents will have the opportunity to explore a range of L.A.’s diverse neighbourhoods.
>> The group will be flying with Air New Zealand, arriving and departing from the newly renovated Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX Airport.
The terminal, which underwent a $1.9- billion dollar development project, now offers over 60 new retail and dining options, including shops from L.A.-based designers Fred Segal and Kitson as well as dining favourites such as Border Grill, Umami Burger and Ink.sack.
