Is this the cheapest RTW airfare ever?

STA Travel has announced that the company is now offering local travellers the cheapest ever true Round The World flights, priced from $1699.

Beginning in Australia and taking in the tourist hubs of Singapore, Manila, London, Oslo, New York and San Francisco – STA Travel’s Round The World flights offer Australian travellers the ability to see the world for less than the cost of a standard Australian phone plan.

According to STA Travel, there has been a 22.6% increase in interest from Australian travellers looking to book Round The World trips.

This increase is because Round The World flights are becoming the best option for travellers wanting to visit more countries, but in less time.

STA Travel’s product trading & marketing director Andrea Robinson said there’s nothing like a trip the whole world over.

“The growth amongst Australian travellers, in particular young adult travellers, interested in booking Round The World flights has been significant,” she said.

“With a weakening Australian dollar we expect that local travellers will continue to look to cost saving holiday travel styles like Round The World flights to maximise their experiences while minimising their outlay.”

“We’ve also recently been seeing a trend amongst younger travellers where they are wanting to squeeze more destinations in to shorter overseas trips. This is because Australians aged 18 to 28 are typically less cash rich than other demographics and it takes them longer to save for a holiday; meaning they want to get the best bang for their buck.

“Given the cost of a flight is usually the single biggest financial burden for younger travellers heading overseas, these travellers often look to maximise their holiday costs by taking in multiple destinations in one holiday as opposed to more frequent shorter trips as is favoured by travellers in older demographics.”

Travellers can also find their ultimate Round The World style on STA Travel Facebook page with an online quiz running throughout September, and go into the draw to win a $2500 Round The World flight voucher.
