Midweek Interview with Ryan Taibel

Midweek Interview with Ryan Taibel

We chat with the director of sales for P&O Cruises and Cunard, Carnival Australia.

The challenge for the industry is… continuing to grow homeport cruise without globally competitive port infrastructure.

The things I like about my job… the people I work with and environment I work in.

And the frustrations are… minimal.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be… unfulfilled.

Favourite airline?  As long as I’m not flying Domestic in the USA, I’m indifferent.

My proudest moment was… the birth of my children.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… definitely not suitable for publication.

I try to relax by… exercise.

The last time I feared for my life was… when I was a lot younger.

If I can, I always try to avoid… fast food.

I really wish I had… a time machine.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… only write in an email what you would be comfortable with being published on the front page of the New York Times.

I don’t understand why people… smoke.

My greatest weakness is… impulsiveness.

And my greatest strength is… impulsiveness.

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would… buy some cool toys.

If I was prime minister I would… quit.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be a… NFL Quarterback.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Moscow.

My favourite holiday was… Cancun Spring Break 1996!
