BA ups the style ante in Singapore terminal

SINGAPORE:
New British Airways lounge at Singapore Changi Airport on 23 August 2015

British Airways launches its new dedicated lounge at Terminal 1 in Changi Airport this week, marking the latest milestone in the airline’s history.

The stylish lounge is the first location to offer the airline’s new Concorde Bar, a private area exclusive to First customers.

The Concorde Bar features an interior with black Nero marble surfaces, European oak flooring and bespoke furnishings. Customers will also be able to enjoy digital panoramic views of the Singapore skyline reflecting the time of the day outside, similar to a rotating restaurant.

Eligible customers will be provided with an exclusive passcode to access the area.

The main lounge offers customers an upgraded space to work, relax or dine as they choose, in a space that features modern British design and style, and artwork from established Singaporean and British artists, including Simon Wee and Dr Brendan Neiland. All pieces on display have been curated and selected based on their links to Singapore.

“Our new lounge is a toast to the heritage and glamour of flying,” British Airways’ head of sales for Asia Pacific Robert Williams said.

“Its environment is perfectly designed for and tailored around the needs of the modern premium traveller. I am confident that our customers, whether they are travelling on business or going on holiday, will enjoy the privacy, state-of-the-art facilities, and incredible artwork on offer.”

Access to the new lounge is limited to British Airways First and Club World (business class) customers, British Airways Executive Gold and Silver members, and oneworld frequent flyers with Emerald and Sapphire status. The Concorde Bar is exclusively for British Airways’ First customers and their eligible guests.
