Things heat up in Hamilton
The 32nd Audi Hamilton Island Race Week is well underway this week, with crews of 202 racing and cruising yachts hitting the shores of Hamilton Island on Saturday, and hanging around until Saturday August 22.
Thousands of visitors, celebrities, socialites and sailing identities from around the globe will descend on the island to enjoy a variety of on- and off-water events and activities, including the second largest regatta fleet in its history with 2000 people competing in the international sailing event.

75 years of TG service
Three of the team in TG PER are celebrating work anniversaries this week, totalling a massive 75 years service. Certificates were presented by General Manager for WA, Mr Karun Sirarojanakul.
The three staff members being celebrated were Debra Matthews, Sales Manager WA contributing 30 years, Pat Devahasdin, Cargo Manager WA also with 30 years service and Ghada Ibrahim, Reservations and Ticketing WA racking up 15 years.

Accor brings on 3 new hotels
AccorHotels is pleased to announce that Mercure Warragul, a new build, 48-room hotel has joined the network under a franchise agreement and is ready to take bookings from 24 August 2015.
Hotel Launceston in Tasmania has rebranded to Mercure Launceston, complementing AccorHotels other Tasmanian property, The Sebel Launceston. Mercure Launceston will be taking bookings from 27 August 2015 and rates will start from $120 per night.
Monte Pio Hotel in Maitland will also join the AccorHotels network in September 2015, at which time it will rebrand to Mercure Maitland Monte Pio. The 47-room hotel which will operate under a franchise agreement and has a restaurant and bar, four function rooms and a swimming pool and is located in the close to the centre of town.
Scenic sails with sparkle
Scenic’s inaugural Bordeaux river cruising season commenced on 5 August with Scenic Diamond relocating from the Rhine, Main, Danube to begin sailing Bordeaux’s three waterways.
