Where do Global Achievers go to celebrate?

Qantas Holidays is excited to announce the prestigious Global Achievers celebration for top Australian travel consultants will be held in…?

DARWIN!

The Northern Territory will play host to a Gala Dinner October 17 this year, with Tourism NT and Qantas Airways teaming up to make it all happen.

Global Achievers is the foremost industry reward and recognition program for helloworld’s wholesale brands, incorporating Qantas Holidays, Viva! Holidays, Rail Tickets, Ready Rooms for Agents, the Cruise Team and Insider Journeys.

This year Global Achievers will spoil agents with an adventurous itinerary exploring the Northern Territory. Attendees will be immersed in the culture and admire the renowned picturesque geography of the NT.

The itinerary includes a visit to Australia’s largest national park Kakadu, the opportunity to swim in the beautiful waterholes of Litchfield National Park, and the chance to travel to where the outback meets the tropics, Katherine – famed for Nimiluk (Katherine) Gorge.

Tourism NT’s chief minister Adam Giles said the event was a great chance to showcase what the Northern Territory has to offer directly to influential travel consultants.

“These travel consultants are the front door to the Northern Territory for countless visitors so they need to see and experience first-hand all that we have to offer,” Giles said.

“The Territory is home to world class experiences and attractions. We are a jewel in Australia’s tourism crown and we are only getting better. The travel consultants taking part in Global Achievers will leave the NT as ambassadors – telling everyone to come and Do the NT.”

For the first time, the Global Achievers will be joined by the 20 top sellers of The Cruise Team brand this year. Together a total of 170 travel consultants have been invited to the prestigious weekend, which will culminate with a glittering Gala Dinner in Darwin to recognise the top achievers.

Award categories will include the 500 Club, individual state winners, Domestic Consultant of the Year, and the International Consultant of the Year for 2015. The new category of “International Cruise Consultant of the Year” will also be introduced at the 2015 award ceremony.

“Following last year’s Global Achievers celebrations in Queenstown we were looking for a location just as spectacular for 2015,” Qantas Holidays’ head of sales Fiona Dalton said.

“The impressive landscapes of the Northern Territory and balmy tropics provide the perfect backdrop for this year’s event.”

“We are extremely grateful for the support of Tourism NT and Qantas Airways as our key sponsors and look forward to showcasing this stunning location to our top sellers as part of our quest to align learning and development with reward and recognition.”
