Bali welcomes latest hotel

Everyone’s favourite holiday hotspot is about to get even hotter, with a little help from PTT Family.

The group behind the world-renowned
Potato Head Beach Club is set to open The Katamama Hotel in Bali in 2015.

Opening in November 2015, The Katamama will be a 58-suite boutique hotel with five-star facilities, located on one of the last patches of land in Seminyak.

The hotel is the creation of PTT Family, whose headquarters are in Jakarta, Indonesia and who marry up the diverse fields of food and beverage, entertainment, hotels, residential development, art and fashion.

PTT Family’s portfolio includes the internationally acclaimed Potato Head Beach Club in Bali, a 20-villa estate known for its environmental design, an art gallery and restaurants and bars in Jakarta and Singapore.

Renowned Indonesian architect and PTT Family collaborator Andra Martin will design The Katamama, which will be contemporary and elegant, and finished with Indonesian materials such as Balinese bricks, teak, hand-made tiles from Java and Terrazzo made on site.

Unique to the holiday destination will be the one-bedroom penthouses, with two storey suites offering internal access to a rooftop garden complete with ocean views, a spa bath and rain shower and dining and lounge areas with bar.

The crowning glory of the hotel will be the presidential penthouse suite, housing two bedrooms and a completely private rooftop garden overlooking the water, the company’s first international venture, while the unique bar will be called ‘Akademi’.

With a large pool deck and direct access to Potato Head Beach Club, the hotel will be a space offering both physical and spiritual balance, while remaining a high level of service for today’s experienced international traveller.
