So you think you’re an NTIA nominee?

A record number of nominations has been received across the 37 categories of the upcoming 2015 AFTA National Travel Industry Awards, AFTA reveals.

According to the federation, most popular nominee categories were Best Travel Agency Retail – Single Location, Best Travel Agency Manager – Retail Single Location, Best Speciality Wholesaler, Best Sales Executive – Industry Supplier, and the Emirates Travel Consultant Scholarship.

Voting will commence on Wednesday and close on Monday 13 April at 5pm (AEST).

“The amount of entries for the 2015 NITA is at an all time high despite the need for travel agents and employees of travel agents nominated to be accredited. This illustrates that there is strong support for ATAS,” AFTA chief executive, Jayson Westbury said.

Tickets for the highly anticipated usually sold-out gala event on July 18 at its new venue, Dockside Pavilion Darling Harbour, will go on sale on Monday 23 March.

Travel Weekly and our sister publication – Voyager, is proud to have two nominees for Best Writer in the running.
