Terms and conditions:
Competition commences on 15 September 2014 and concludes at 5.30pm on 15 October 2014. The competition is open to Australian residents only and must be employed in the travel industry as a full time consultant. The prize winners name will be published in Travel Today.
Please note: Entrants details may be used for promotional purposes.
1. Entry is open to all residents of Australia. However, employees and their immediate families of the Singapore Tourism Board Oceania and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
2. Entrants must be over the age of 18.
3. The prize must be taken within six (6) months of the draw and is subject to hotel and flight availability.
4. No extension on travel dates will be granted. The prize is not available during peak times such as public holidays and school holidays (if applicable) and cannot be changed once the booking has been made.
5. Upon acceptance/confirmation of the reservation by the Singapore Tourism Board, the Prize shall be considered to be redeemed. No amendments or cancellations will be allowed and any unused land stay or transportation will be forfeited.
6. Airport transfers within Australia are excluded from the Prize.
7. Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of Singapore Airlines and are subject to availability. Tickets are strictly non-transferable, non-refundable and non-upgradeable.
8. The winner and travelling companion/s must travel at the same time, must depart from the same capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest capital city for flight departure (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth). If the winner does not reside in the state of any of these capital cities, it is the winners’ responsibility to make their own travel arrangements to one of the departure cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth).
9. It is the winner’s personal responsibility to ensure that they and their travelling companions have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and visas which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities as well as any relevant vaccinations that may be required. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the travellers.
10. The winner and their companion/s are responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic), transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
11. A credit card imprint or cash deposit will be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges.
12. Prize values are in Australian dollars and based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
13. Prizes, including any unused portion, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash.
14. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
