A $6 million commercial partnership between Tourism and Events Queensland and Flight Centre Travel Group will help to promote Queensland globally as a premier tourism and events destination.

Minister for Tourism and Major Events Jann Stuckey joined with Flight Centre’s managing director Graham Turner to announce the three-year agreement, designed to further strengthen inbound tourism to Queensland.

“The agreement will see the two partners work more closely to promote travel to Queensland’s destinations from some of the state’s most valuable visitor markets including the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia,” Stuckey said.

 

Scenic Tours have released Earlybird offers on its South America, small ship luxury cruising and Mekong river cruising 2015 programs that end on 30 September 2014.

Visiting the national treasures of South America, from the World Heritage-listed sites of Machu Picchu and Peru’s historical capital of Cuzco, to the natural wonders of Iguaz√∫ Falls and Lake Titicaca and the vibrant cities of Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, the itineraries are meticulously planned, designed to maximise time at key destinations.

Earlybird offers include free flights to South America for the second person travelling.

Australia’s holiday rental website Stayz has partnered with Destination NSW to launch a new digital campaign called It’s ON! in the Blue Mountains.

The campaign is designed to encourage visitation to the Blue Mountains during the region’s spring calendar of events. 

The It’s ON! campaign has received an enthusiastic response from the Stayz community of holiday property owners, with over a quarter of those in the Blue Mountains offering special deals to stimulate new and returning visitors.
