Qantas opens new Hong Kong lounge

Qantas opens new Hong Kong lounge
By admin

Qantas has opened the doors to its new multi-million dollar Hong Kong lounge, with the airline promising "a new standard of luxury" for premium passengers.

The carrier said it builds on the success of its Singapore lounge, with renowned Consulting Chef, Neil Perry, designing menus based on his Rockpool and Spice Temple restaurants.

Qantas International chief executive, Simon Hickey, said the 300-capacity lounge showcases the airline’s ongoing commitment to giving customers the "perfect environment to relax and work before their flight".

“The Hong Kong Lounge is stylish and contemporary, designed to reflect the colour, vibrancy and luxury of Hong Kong," he said. "All of our flights from Hong Kong to Australia are overnight so we know our customers will enjoy being able to dine in the lounge before they fly so they can maximise their sleep onboard.”

Passengers will be served a range of dining experiences, from the Spice Temple BBQ Bar to a yum cha trolley, thanks to Perry’s inspired menus. Cocktails will be prepared, alongside a world-class wine selection and barista service.

The Hong Kong lounge seats 300 guests, has 12 showers, a family zone and a flexible working area. Qantas is also working on two new lounges in Los Angeles, scheduled to open later this year.
