QantasLink moves to Qantas domestic terminal

Regional carrier QantasLink has moved its operations to Qantas' exclusive domestic terminal at Sydney Airport.

The move from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 marks a "major milestone" in its strategy to focus on its customers, according to the airline.

Qantas Domestic chief executive Lyell Strambi underlined the benefits of the new arrangements for customers.

"With QantasLink services now in Terminal 3, customers can expect smoother connections between regional, domestic and international services and will no longer have to transfer between terminals to connect to their domestic Qantas flight," he said.

In addition, travellers will benefit from 'faster, smarter" check-in services at the terminal, expected to reduce check-in times for QantasLink customers, with access to the Qantas Club and Domestic Business Lounge.

An additional 80 seats have been added to the Qantas Club to cater to the additional customers, Strambi added.

Meanwhile, state deputy premier Andrew Stoner welcomed the transition, underlining its positive impact on regional passengers.

"I am pleased Qantas has streamlined its services in the one terminal and I'm sure passengers will be just as happy with the changes," he said.
