Oops, Nippon airlines make mega currency exchange blunder and sells $10000 flights for $300

Savvy travellers have made the most of an All Nippon Airline (ANA) mistake, purchasing flights for a fraction of the usual cost due to a mistake in currency exchanges.

One traveller booked a return first class trip from Jakarta, to the Caribbean via Tokyo and New York for $890, a journey of over 14,000 kilometres that would usually cost over 16 grand.

Although the new flights will have those who booked excited, they’re not totally in the clear yet as airlines have a history of not honouring bookings made in these sorts of situations.

A ANA spokesman told Bloomberg it would uphold the bookings, however later backtracked stating an official decision was yet to be made.
