Western Sydney is another step closer in gaining an airport with the federal government issuing a Notice to Consult, according to peak national industry body Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF)

TTF acting chief executive Trent Zimmerman has announced that an airport for Western Sydney is closer to becoming a reality. “It will generate economic activity, create jobs and provide businesses and residents in the region with unprecedented access to air travel and freight services.” Zimmerman said. 

 

The TravelManagers’ 2014 national conference was held on Wednesday 20 August 2014 in Singapore at the Stamford Ballroom at the Swissotel The Stamford.

The award ceremony recognises the top performing and most improved personal travel managers of the year. Lea Burfood took out this years New Personal Travel Manager of the Year who was highly surprised yet thrilled. TravelManagers’ executive general manager, Michael Gazal spoke on behalf of the conference thanking all of the TravelManagers team and further announced that the 2015 conference will be held in Adelaide.

Contiki has launched a new and improved agents website that makes it easier and quicker to search and book trips.

The site also includes improved infrastructure which makes it faster to use, updated the 'my booking' so amending a booking is easier and improved reporting tools for agents. The refreshed homepage displays the latest deals and incentives.

Melbourne, Australia has been recognised as the best city in the world to live, topping the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) Global Liveability Index for the fourth year in a row.

The EIU's Liveability Ranking assesses living conditions in 140 cities across the globe by assigning a rating across five broad categories, including: stability; healthcare; culture and environment; education; and infrastructure.
