Women fined after falling on baggage carousel

As kids, we’ve all dreamt of riding around and around on the completely-prohibited baggage carousel, right?

Except we were never allowed.

But this woman finally got to live her dream for the rest of us – and in her late 50s, no less.

Okay, technically that’s not true, but she did get to ride around on the baggage carousel.

According to The Daily Telegraph, a woman in her late 50s had flown into Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport from Belgrade last week, and whilst reaching for her pet carrier, fell onto the carousel and was subsequently whisked away to the luggage room.

Yep.

A transport police spokesman told Moskva news agency that the lady was reaching for her pet doggo when she fell.

And if that isn’t the most hilarious-yet-heartbreaking thing we’ve heard today, nothing is.

“She was waiting to collect her luggage by the baggage carousel when she saw a pet carrier with her dog and reached for it,” they said.

“Apparently losing her balance, she fell onto the conveyor belt and was carried away to the luggage room.”

But it doesn’t end there, readers!

Not only was this poor, middle-aged woman and her doggy carried away into the baggage room against her will, she was also fined for apparently damaging the airport’s freight transportation system.

The maximum fine for damages is around AU$31.50, but if we were this woman, we would sue – probably.

Happy Friday guys.
