Travelport to update industry with 6 Aus roadshows

Travelport is coming onto the Aussie scene in a big way, bringing six roadshows down under.

After investing the equivalent of AU$600 million on a series of major enhancements to its travel commerce platform, Travelport is taking it to the next level in order to update its industry partners.

Six roadshows will come to our shores in Adelaide (22 Apr), Perth (24 Apr), Sydney (29 Apr), Melbourne (6 May), Brisbane (7 May) and the Gold Coast (8 May), with both airline and travel agency partners welcome to attend the hands-on roadshows.

Travelport is rolling out new technologies that benefit partners on both sides of its travel commerce business.

Travelport’s merchandising platform is one example of this, with its rich content and branding feature that allows airlines to market and retail their products more effectively.

With this feature, airlines and other travel content providers can employ more sophisticated retailing techniques to drive sales of core fares as well as ancillaries and “optional extras” such as choice seats, bags and lounge passes.

These are new revenue generation opportunities for travel agents that will be demonstrated at the roadshows.

Industry partners interested in attending the Travelport roadshows can register at the following website: http://server.spin.com.hk/Travelport/AU_NZ_Roadshows/register.html.
