Qantas Holidays shakes up your TRIP

Qantas Holidays shakes up your TRIP

Last night, Qantas Holidays announced its Travel Reward & Incentive Program (TRIP) will undergo a major transformation.

The change involves a shift from the current points-based program to a new EFTPOS, or cash-based, program.

The Qantas Holidays TRIP program has been in the game for six years, and will now ramp up the benefits for consultants booking through its associated brands of Qantas Holidays, Viva! Holidays, Rail Tickets, The Cruise Team and Insider Journeys.

The transformation was unveiled overnight, with five different functions celebrating the change across Aussie capital cities including Sydney, with the new EFTPOS-based program kicking off on July 1 2015.

The program will consist of four tiers including TRIP Starters, Explorers, Jetsetters and High Flyers, and allows agents to earn more cash as they sell more products from Qantas Holidays and its associated brands.

“We are so excited to announce the transformation of TRIP to a new EFTPOS based program,” Qantas Holidays’ managing director Peter Egglestone said.

“For 6 years TRIP has been a market leading rewards program for the travel industry and we are focused on keeping it relevant and cutting edge for Australian travel agents.”

“With the new bright and personalised TRIP cards, agents will be able to spend the money they earn on whatever they choose at any EFTPOS terminal in Australia.”

“Our tiered building block structure allows agents to earn more as they sell more and the new cash based program amplifies the amount rewarded to agents. Our existing High Flyers for example will earn twice as much on the new EFTPOS system when compared to the old points based system.”

Aussie travel agents can register for a TRIP card and after the first $25,000 in departed net land sales, will start scoring serious money on their personalised cards.

You can find more info and register for a TRIP card online at www.triponline.com.au.
