Plush hotel adds to Sydney’s offerings

Spicers Retreats have raised the curtain on their luxe new hotel addition, which has jumped the border from its Queensland origins and made its way to Potts Point in Sydney.

The Group’s first ever local property, Spicers Potts Point, has swung its doors open on Victoria Street, with some seriously boutique vibes.

The Group snatched a gorgeous trio of terrace houses dating back to 1873, converting them into 20 luxury hotel rooms in a multi-million dollar development.

The rooms, each grand in their own way and with a distinct celebration of Australia’s love of the ocean, provide relaxed inner city accommodation for travellers, whilst offering access to some of Sydney’s best cafes, bars and restaurants.

“Spicers Potts Point has been a delicate restoration-project for my team and I,” Turner said.

“Marrying the preservation of historical features of the property, with modern finishes and amenities throughout has been of utmost importance for this project and I believe the execution of this speaks for itself.”

Guests at the retreat can expect to be taken on a journey by the history of the building and surrounding Potts Point area, while taking comfort in the three-storey extension that allows for expansive rooms, a new reception bar and a garden courtyard for enjoying breakfast.

Serving as an addition to the already vibrant neighbourhood, Spicers Potts Point will provide breakfast, encouraging guests to explore the area’s acclaimed restaurants and bars – a major drawcard for Turner when purchasing the property.

“Potts Point is an iconic part of Sydney, and the property has been designed to add to the existing buzz of the area, encouraging guests to curate their own Sydney experience,” she said.

The launch of Spicers Potts Point Retreat adds to the group’s existing New South Wales portfolio of properties, including Spicers Sangoma Retreat, located in the foothills of the Blue Mountains and Spicers Vineyards Estate, located in the Hunter Valley.

“We have long-dreamed of having an urban offering in Sydney to round-out our existing New South Wales retreats, and I’m pleased to officially open this to the public,” Turner said.

A Queen Room at Spicers Potts Point will start at $429.00 per night, inclusive of breakfast.
