Helloworld revamps affiliate offering with launch of My Travel Group

Helloworld has launched My Travel Group, a new affiliate program which combines its Concorde Agency Network and Affiliate Network.

Chief executive Andrew Burnes described the new offering as the “culmination of more than 12 month’s consultation and work” with both existing networks.

“My Travel Group enters the market as the largest independent agent consortia in Australia,” he said.

“We set out with the mission to form a network that works for independent travel agents and over 12 months, the team has met with our agents to ask what they wanted in an independent buying group network.”

Burnes said members of the new group would benefit from its combined scale, purchasing power and supplier deals along with Helloworld’s support in growing their businesses.

“My Travel Group is an evolution of our long-standing relationship with independent agents and the offering is delivering on what our agents tell us they want,” he said.

“In addition to being part of a consolidated buying group, our agents wanted the support of a dedicated team, access to tailored networking and conference events and the flexibility of a range of tailored opt-ins including technology and training to meet their individual business needs.”

The network will be headed up by David Padman, head of corporate, associate and affiliate networks, who said the agents have “really embraced” the new program.

“From our dedicated My Travel Group portal which provides access to all SmartFares, SmartTickets and all our Preferred Partner information and flyers to our My Travel Group Advisory Board, this is about Helloworld boosting the support we provide to our independent agency network,” Padman said.

“My Travel Group is an affiliation brand which supports our agents’ individual brands and identities. It allows our agents to be recognised as part of a network, especially by our suppliers.”

My Travel Group brand is not a retail agency brand, Padman stressed, adding that members of the group would retain their own branding.
