Helloworld finalises major sale

Helloworld has announced it completed the sale of its portion of an outbound wholesaler in the United States.

In a release on the ASX, Helloworld confirmed it had sold its 33.3 per cent holding in Down Under Answers just two weeks after the travel agency finalised its acquisition of Flight Systems.

No doubt they are probably popping the bubbly over at head offices right now, given their recent successes.

At least, that’s what we’d do if we were the head honchos of a highly successful company. Hell, we’d probably pop some bubbly after every article if our boss let us.

As part of the transaction, Down Under Answers has signed a three-year exclusive arrangement with Helloworld’s Australian and New Zealand inbound business, AOT Inbound Pty Limited.

According to the release, the sale is an important strategic step in the ongoing process of streamlining the group and disposing of non-core investments.

“We look forward to continuing to work with the team at Down Under Answers in providing them with our great products and services in Australia and New Zealand,” Andrew Burned, Helloworld CEO said in the release.
