A sneak peak into this year’s Cruise360 Conference

A 1970's - 1980's style newscaster TV reporter sits in the studio with his script, a shocked or angry look on his face. Styling is very stereotypical of that era; over the top hair, large mustache, and oversized glasses are complimented with brown clothes and wood paneled background. Could also be a corrupt CEO or business tycoon busted for something. Horizontal with copy space.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has given us a teeny tiny glimpse into what we can expect from the upcoming Cruise360 conference in August this year.

International keynote speaker Jan Swarts, Group President Princess Cruises and Carnival Australia, will provide an insight into the Future of Cruise Guest Experience, addressing the evolution of today’s cruise passenger experience and how cruise-focused agents can ensure future success by making the most of these changes.

Luxury cruise industry veteran Azamara Club Cruises President & CEO Larry Pimentel will talk about how social media platforms can be leveraged as an effective marketing asset in his Winning on Social Media address.

This year’s conference will also provide delegates with further real-world learning opportunities in the form of four Masterclasses to choose from:

  • Upselling – Selling Luxury and Expedition Cruises and Increase Your Revenue – Larry Pimentel will lead this panel of luxury and expedition cruise line executives to dive deep into the “how to” of effective marketing and selling of luxury and expedition cruises.
  • Myth-Busters: The changing landscape of River Cruising – This workshop led by CLIA’s Head of International Training and Development, Peter Kollar will look at busting the river cruising stereotypes and will provide insight into how to approach river cruise sales in today’s changing landscape.
  • Driving Loyalty – How to Differentiate Your Agency and Leverage Your Loyal Clients – Led by Phil Hoffman of Phil Hoffman Travel, this discussion will provide practical examples and firsthand experiences to reveal how to generate loyalty amongst your customers, and as a result grow your business.
  • Money doesn’t fall from trees – Designing a Successful Plan a Cruise Month Campaign – This session will provide delegates with strategies for CLIA’s Plan a Cruise Month for October, looking at successful campaigns from the past and insight into how successful agents leveraged PACM resources to differentiate themselves and record tremendous growth during prior campaigns.

“We are delighted with the involvement of high calibre keynote speakers as well as local industry members.

“Both will provide incredible value to the program and will deliver learnings and insights to assist agents with growing their cruise sales by leveraging opportunities and market trends, ” Managing Director CLIA Australasia, Joel Katz said.

“Tickets are selling fast, we recommend agents to get in quick so they don’t miss out on what promises to be a great day.”

The conference will be moderated by Ross Greenwood who returns as host at this year’s Cruise360.

Travel agents will also have the opportunity to update their product knowledge and familiarise themselves with the latest on industry developments at the interactive trade show throughout the day.

Agents attending Cruise360 will also accrue 30 points towards their accreditation.
